Volunteerism at the Hoover Minthorn House Museum

1. June 2014: Newberg Community Breakfast
2. July 26-27, 2014: Newberg Old Fashioned Days
3. August 10, 2014: Hoover’s Birthday (Flour Sack Exhibit)
4. September 6, 2014: Play “First Lady Lou” (One woman play about Lou Henry Hoover) in the George Fox College Auditorium
   1. Marketing/Advertising
   2. Outreach to women’s studies groups in local colleges and high schools.
   3. Ticket Sales
   4. Ushering (day of)
   5. Reception (planning and assisting at reception)
5. December 2014: Holiday Thank You Open House
6. Winter 2015: Willamette Heritage Center Display
7. February 2015: President’s Weekend
   1. Produce a poster to put up at local schools, the Cultural Center, the Coffee Cottage etc. in Newberg.
   2. Need a minimum of 2 extra volunteers per day: Saturday, Sunday & Monday.
   3. Supply, organize, serve refreshments & clean up at end of each day.

Docents

1. Sign up to work a minimum of three 3-hour shifts March-October at your convenience.
2. Sign up to assist with Special Tours as needed throughout the year.
