National Guard Christmas Party 2013

“The National Patriotic Service Committee works primarily in the field of education to stimulate a spirit of true patriotism and knowledge of the American heritage in citizens and others…”

This goal is reflected in the various projects supported by the committee, among which are the American Indian Nurse Scholarship, the Congressional Workshop Week for high school students, scholarships for advanced degree students in American history, American history teacher grants and service to the military.

At present, the Oregon Society will send two students to the Congressional Workshop in June, award grants to two Oregon teachers to improve classroom instruction and continue to provide a Christmas Party for National Guard families.

Aid to The Military

Each Christmas the Oregon Dames host a party for the soldiers of the 44th Battalion of the Oregon Army National Guard. We are now co-hosting with Synergy Restoration and Construction and the Gateway Elks Lodge #2411.

The Dames provide food, door prizes, and man the cookie decorating table.
